Photos of the visit of +His Eminence Metropolitan Antony

On Sunday June 11, the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Whaleyville, MD, welcomed the spiritual leader of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the USA, His Eminence Metropolitan Antony, to their Parish. The visit was in celebration of the Parishes 60th anniversary. The Metropolitan was greeted by the Parish Priest, Fr. Stephen Hutnick and visiting Priest, Fr. Gerald Ozlanski. The greeting included an offering of Bread, Salt and flowers, signifying friendship and hospitality. It is the traditional offering to a Hierarch of the Church. The Metropolitan brought with him Protodeacon Igor Mahlay and four Seminarians from St Sophia Theological Seminary in South Bound Brook NJ.
Following the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysotosom, the congregation departed for a celebratory Luncheon at Doyles Restaurant in Selbyville. In his remarks to the gathering there, His Eminence Metropolitan Antony called upon everyone to hear and live by the words of the Lord. He encouraged our small village church to continue to be welcoming to all. It was a joyous celebration.
